To YouFra
World Youth Day 2016

Dear young Franciscans all over the world, may the Lord give you peace!
Our Seraphic Brother Saint Francis showed himself to be a true lover of God's mercy. Finding himself deeply loved by the "Father of Mercies" (Cf. 2 COR 1.3) while still in his youth, the poor man of Assisi allowed this virtue to embrace his life and become in him availability, movement and liberation. Francis himself manifested this dynamism when he writes in his Testament that the Lord led his heart so he could go among the lepers, giving and receiving mercy (Cf. Test 2-3).

CONCLUSIONS OF SYNOD ON THE FAMILY, OCTOBER 2015

PART 2 -Chapter II

PDF

The Family in the Socio-Economic context

Last April 8th, the Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation, Amoris lætitia (AL) of the holy Father Pope Francis on love in the family, based on the conclusions of the last Synod, was published1. The importance of the family for the Society as a whole and for the Church in particular can never be over-emphasized. In fact, “The family is “the vital cell of society”. For that reason, “The welfare of the family is decisive for the future of the world and that of the Church” (AL 31). Chapter two of the Conclusions of the Synod (n° 11- n° 16), presents a global view of the socio-economic context of the family today.

The National Fraternity of Vietnam has celebrated its National Elective Chapter on 13-15 May 2016. The new national minister is Paul Nguyen Van Hoa and international councilor is Anton Phung Bai.
