Support the Holy Land Christians! Christians on the Holy Land are a minority, and most of the time, they are forgotten because of the severe political crisis going on the Middle East. Today, there are about 150.000 Christians living on the Holy Land, though because of the many politic and economic difficulties, 500-700 of them are abandoning the Holy Land every year. The Franciscan Foundation for the Holy Land has been founded in the year 1994 with the purpose of providing a worldwide voice for Christians living in the Holy Land and to ensure the continued Christian presence in the area. This Foundation is assisted by the OFM Custody in the Holy Land and uses all available recourse to get in contact with Christians in their very many needs. The main objectives of this Foundation are: Assist Christians to find a job through formation, consultation and creation of new work positions. Provide scholarships to young Christians, offering them opportunities for a better life, while supporting education cost. Continue with the so called program "Housing Development" favoring Christian families from the Holy Land with houses. These houses are being proposed for the areas of Bethlehem, Jericho, Betfage and Nazareth. 62 units have already been built in Betania and Beit Hanina. Rebuild the holy place where Jesus tom is at the Church of the Holy Tomb.
