REACHING OUT TO THE PEOPLE OF HAITI
National fraternities of the Secular Franciscan Order are urged to reach out to the people of Haiti, including Secular Franciscan brothers and sisters, who have become the victims of one of the most devastating earthquake that this country has experienced in the past 200 years. This is a call to the entire Order to become actively engaged and to participate generously with the Church and civil organizations in promoting humanitarian assistance for all who have been affected by this catastrophe. Financial contributions may also be sent directly to the CIOFS Secretariat, in the same manner in which National Fraternities submit their annual contributions, clearly indicating that these contributions are to be used in support of Haiti Relief Fund.
